The fourth season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer originally aired on The WB television network from October 5, 1999 to May 23, 2000, concurrently with the first season of Angel series. The most interesting episode is Hush, where The Gentlemen steal everyone's voices and the most part of the episode is played without no dialogue. I do have to jump into the majority over the character Riley Finn (Marc Blucas). Season 4 was the first two box sets of videos i ever got of Buffy, from my parents. Giles mentions to Spike that his chip could be part of a greater purpose, and I really hope that pays off some day. Also spike fans will enjoy his appearances and 'chipping'. I think Joss really makes Riley out to be a young man in search of purpose and it works well. .Faith and Spike return, and buffy has a new love interest Riley. What makes season 4 one of the best however is the consistancy of the entertainment in virtually every episode. 13 TV Shows to Watch If You Miss Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

This must have been a tough season to write, but I think it came out beautifully. Please try againSorry, we failed to record your vote. Admittedly I watch the shows on DVD, so switching back and forth is more of a hassle, but I prefer watching the last four episodes of Angel: season 3, then the last 4 of Buffy season 6. Anya makes a very sexually explicit, welcome replacement for Cordy too. The BUFFY's I (and others) shot were framed for traditional TVs. Has the academy ever even seen the show?!) And yep, I was right! Plenty of violence and work for her rather wonderful stunt double (who gets a credit at the end credits) Highly recomended . I have resisted the effort to letterbox BUFFY from the start and always will, because that is not the show we shot. I think a wolf whistle will suffice. You're getting the best presentation of -- let's face it -- the best Television Drama since MATCHGAME '79.
Here each episode will be rated. The government recognizes that Maggie Walsh's plan is a failure, and orders her project to be terminated.
Without this they couldn't have grown as people. I really don't know why this season gets a harder rap, I like being devils advocate so I bought it thinking c'mon buffy's always a good buy. Season 4 of buffy is okay but it lacks the spark that made season 1,2 great although this season is set at a college where buffy and willow now go to while in the meantime a sinister commando type group are at work behind the scenes at the college seacrhing for all sorts of demons , vampires and other type of supernatural like creatures. The new environment introduces us to new faces, like Riley, who seems to be a regular Joe from Ohio who works as a tutor, Tara, a witch, and Adam as the new main baddie.
And reintroducing Spike and chipping him was a stroke of genius. Its brilliant television that shows off the genius of this show. Then she starts dating Riley, a handsome commando battling the same monsters. The Willow and Tara relationship is my personal favorite relationship in the "Buffy" universe. The introduction of Riley and the initiative has potential but also changes the dynamic of the show somewhat and doesn't really seem to develop properly. discs were not in quite as good a nick as i would have liked for used so feel price was a little high for them. Season Four is all about change, which I think is handled admirably.

The sight of the scoobies charging into The Initiative in "Primeval" sent chill down my spine. Also notable for the introduction of the lovely Tara this may not be the greatest Buffy series but its still very good and well worth watching... but watch them in order!

The first five seasons aired on The WB, and in 2001, it transferred to UPN for its final two seasons. Although many people criticise the show for leaving Xander and Giles in the cold, I believe Joss Whedon very wisely did this.
